2015 x5 35d check engine light

My 2015 x5 35d has 107K miles. I am the original owner. For the most part, the car has been good to me. Lately, the check engine light turns on after I drive on the high way for 20 minutes or so. During the week, my commute is on local roads. On weekdays, the check engine light is never on, on weekends, once I hit the highway, the check engine is turns on and stays on until Monday comes.

I had the local part shop read the error code, and it was related to 2nd knock sensor. The car drives fine otherwise.

I will be taking the car to the dealer by the end of the week, not sure what to expect.

My 2014 did this where the CEL would light up, but was never constant. It ended up being the EGR.
