Dealer had no idea what I was talking about. If dealer saying that, I won't even bother explaining it to them.

haha yikes...that's a bit ridiculous, although were you talking to the SA or a service tech? SA's aren't exactly smart when it comes to BMW's as they typically deal with oil changes and standard every day repairs. Maybe try again but ask to talk to a tech

I got it done from same person who did my cluster... brakes honestly feel a bit better (10-20%) but wasn't worth coding. Others claiming I'm only getting 40% power but who knows maybe mind tricks

Brake pedal should be up high and takes very little brake pedal travel to start slowing down, stopping normally should be effortless and it should bite hard when you get on them (hard braking). Since your rotors are new I’d give it 500 miles of driving normally to break in the rotors and pads before it gets better. And depending on what pads material you use (ceramics are notorious) cold rotors and pads can affect braking performance.

I also coded the car the morning after installing the brakes and I could tell a huge difference before and after coding similar to what others have described on this forum. Before coding it felt worse than the stock brakes. |

I spoke to your stupidity blowing up in your face, karma is a bitch, you learned directly, and it was documented in the thread for all to enjoy. Keep pretending you know what youre talking about, spouting off baseless opinions on threads you have no knowledge to offer and then asking others to solve your problems when you fail, it's truly entertaining for us all and we get to watch you struggle along the way. |

At this point, I feel like it's too easy to clown you while you're struggling to figure out the basics. Luckily, there is always someone willing to get rich off your mistakes and ineptitude. You will learn that you earn more respect and support if you would research more (search), read the thread (read) and then ask questions to fill the gaps (ask educated questions). Until then, you get laughed at and disregarded. |

Hello,
I was just wondering if 410x36 discs from Rolls Royce will fit our X5's? They have part number 34116786631 left and 34116786632 right. Rolls Royce's calipers 34116855461 pretty much look the same like E70 X5M 34116789341: Here's a link to an eBay offer. The part number of both calipers is different and so are the numbers of the brake pads although they have the same measurements (135mm length, 114mm width, 19mm thickness) and even the same brembo part number 24524. Both calipers share the same guide pins 34 11 6 789 293 and repair set brake caliper 34 21 6 780 515. What is more, RR and E53 both have 5x120 bolt circle and 72.5mm wheel hub diameter. I think RR's 410x36 discs should fit our E53. What do you think? Last edited by sese; 11-30-2019 at 02:18 PM.. |

You think of an adapter to move the caliper (410-395)/2 = 7,5 mm off centre? Are you sure whether this is necessary? Maybe the 410 rotors will fit without any changes?

Oh good lord I was hoping to get some proper answer whether 410x36 rotors will fit any X5 model instead of reading >30 pages of text. Easy to answer for those who know anyways.
