how is the ride comfort with this setup?

Q - VTFs with or without the Dinan Bump Stops?

Looks great. Has anyone else installed these VTFs, lowered the front to max (or close to) without the Dinan front bump stops - that can comment on the ride? Wondering how necessary the bump stops are to maintain a civil ride with considerable drop. I don’t want bottoming out harshness. Thanks!

Keen to hear more also.

Was planning on ordering the VTF's, but not sure if I need replacement bump stops (front and rear?)

Planning on dropping as close to max as possible, so i'd like to plan ahead.

I have the same question. and Ben at RG sport reply me the answers. Is all depends on how low the setting are. My goal is to drop only one inch all round, may be 1.25 inch in the front. Ben say should be ok with the oem bump stop (i plan to cut one or half inch off on the front) and no need for chamber kit. I also order the VTF from Ben. According to the OP, if you do the max drop and you should replace the bump stop and you may also need the front chamber kit! I think the Dinan bump stop is for the front only!

Yes, if you are going max, like I did, you will need the front bump stops from Dinan. Also I saw somewhere they have for sale the complete kit front and back bump stops for the e70. I may buy the rears, since I have the front and install them.

Yes, Dinan’s bumps are for the front only. Why would there be bump stops in the rear - it’s just replacing the links on the rear air suspension.

All shocks have bump stops, even the rear. They cannot go all the way to the bottom of the tube, they will blow. You do have the links for ride height and the airbags instead of springs, but you also have shocks and the shocks have bump stops. So yes, you have bump stops in the rear also.

Is it a good option to put links in the back being that it has the air suspension, and just put some H&r springs in front?

Yes, If you just get the H&R or any other brand, all you get is the springs for the front and the lowered links for the rear.

Does anyone know if the VTF will fit the E70 X5M? The suspension looks very close to the one on the F85. Thanks.

Yep, the same applied to my old E53 X5 H&R lowering springs. The H&R links are adjustable - you can make them short or long which would affect the ride height to your specs. Could give you the rake look if you so wish, at least for the old E53 X5 with rear only suspension airbags.

I've been talking to him already. He can supply them but doesn't seem to be sure about the ride/spring rate difference.

Your best bet is to ask the manufacturer.
It didn't say that it is for the E7x X5/X6.

If you want to try it on your E70, then it is a risk that you need to take.
