One point of clarification I just got directly from H&R as it relates to VTF and the quoted drop range. I have no idea why, but everything they list is for the F15 X5, not the F85 X5M which is 10mm lower. So when you see the drop listed as 1.4" to 2.2" front and 1.2" to 2.0" rear, you deduct 0.4" from that. For people like myself who want a more moderate drop that is great to know that I could lower 1" from where it is now whereas before I thought 1.4" was the minimum.

Compatible with Rear axle Air Suspension?

It is better.
It is only available for self-leveling suspension, which is standard on X5M/X6M.
My 2016 X5s-drive (2 WD) came with "Adaptive M Suspension + rear axle air suspension". Will the H&R VTF work? Thanks

RG- can you comment on the ride quality of Dinan Vs the Eibach vs the H&R? I saw another post of yours discussing the H&R and eibach some really make the ride noticeably harsher. Can you comment about how Dinan effect the ride quality- from comfort setting to sport+?

I am not even going to mention Dinan.
Because it is not a lowering spring or even an upgrade.
IMO, it is just a waste of money.
You will not notice the ride quality difference on Dinan vs Stock. If you do, then it is placebo effect.

That seems to be H&R lowering spring.
But you can for sure achieves that look by using KW V3 coilover.

Do these pics look like H&R or KW V3s? The seller keeps suggesting that it's OEM suspension and someone hacked the ECU to lower it via the self leveling. He says he has bmw software tool and it's possible it can be achieved by changing values in the software.

That looks to be a best up OEM.
Not KW V3 for sure.
Try to clean up that spring and I should be able to tell better.

Even with BMW computer, you will only be able to adjust the rear, since it is a self leveling air suspension on the rear.
Computer can't tell spring to change its density, but can tell the compressor to put less air in the air bag.

The rears have adjustments on camber, but not the fronts. So you will need a camber kit, to be able to adjust the camber back to OEM specs.
How did your camber kit end up working?? I'm in need of one and could use a recommendation, please

I need to find the brand of the upper control arms that I used to correct the front camber.

Might have seen this in other threads but, with classic_erik 's help, I am getting upper control arms for the rear and adjustable bushings for the front. Now if there is an adjustable control arm out there, that might change my tune. But I would still defer to all you smart and knowledgeable guys out there as I don't have a clue which would be better.

Front: KMAC 193816-5J

Rear: SPC 72115

And in the spirit of information sharing, I was quoted $600 for install on the bushings, $480 on the control arms.

Got another quote, $800 including alignment. That almost seems too low.

Do you remember what your negative camber was in the front and rear after your initial alignment?

I go next week to get new tires/alignment and have my KW V3 lowered and adjusted. Currently just by looking at my tire wear on the rear my neg. camber is horrible and my fronts look to be in tolerable specs. Just wondering how much neg. camber is to much.

I guess the ? is what would cost less new tires more often or just buying the rear upper control arms. Sounds like the control arms and installation are close to a new set of tires considering I paid less then $600 for the new tires.

let me know what your opinion is or what made you jump on getting the rear upper control arms? thanks

It's aesthetics and tire wear for me. I am going to be getting new rims and want a flush not tucked look if I am going to be spending the $$.

Attached is my alignment sheet.
