Yes, the house we recently bought, the original owner was downsizing so he offered me a pair 903's, center and sub at a steal as well left in three B&W ceiling mounts in the rear for a 6.1 set-up and a pair of B&W ceiling mounts in the Lanai! Was a Wharfedal fan before my introduction to B&W! (sorry to get side tracked folks, back to your regularly scheduled program)

Updated with pics !

Came in today. Now just need to install it.

First impressions are wow, their getting good.

Overall quality looks like it should.

Not sure if you could really spot the fake. The wiring is all their for the installation and even down to the foam on the inside of the speaker cover they got it all their.

Not bad for a couple hundred bucks. Now just need to install it.

If you get the original b&o upgrade, is it just that speaker or do all the speakers in the car get the b&o treatment and logos?

All the speakers and amp and programming.

You can buy this speaker without the logo, also if you plan on upgrading the speakers you can possibly upgrade the speakers in this unit.

I'm thinking the design of the unit is part of the magic as it fires sound differently than the fixed stock one.

Either way if you want your HK system buy the center channel without the text and it will look like a trick HK system setup if you upgrade your speakers to bavsound and recode the system to B&O then it will be a little better possibly.

Some people want the nice aluminum covers vs the black ones but the center channel was always the tuff sell as you needed the amp to make it work. And they didn't want to tear apart the whole truck to run the amp wires.

This is just another option to play with.

I'm just curious where does the lifting mechanism connect to.

Thanks.

Had this on my radar for quite some time now, but not sure how to power it. Thus I hesitated pulling the trigger. Did not want to power it via the cigarette lighter.
Both Red and Black (ground) wires are provided, but you have to run it to the front fuse box and find an empty slot.

They give you multiple options, you can hook it into the fuses and you can also piggy back off the head-unit itself,

Theirs only 7 wires
One is power and ground and ACC
The other 4 are speaker wires to connect to the stock system.

Also if you have the B&O amp you can power it that way as well and the led. It's literally a one to one copy.

The led is powered either through the block connector they supply or if you use the B&O amp to power it.

I'll have a write up as soon as I connect it up.

Connecting it to the fuse box will not give the desired effect I guess - raise upon turning on the audio and go in when you stop it...

Can you please post the diagrams whenever possible...

Right the fuse box connection is if you add in a relay so it goes up and down when you turn off and on the stereo. Or use the OEM amp.

The other route just connects to the back of the idrive system quad lock connector. Everything you need is their so that's what they connect to.

The easy way will have it turn up when the car turns on and lowers when you shut it off.

It should be powered by the same wire on the back of the HU, the one that powers the amplifier in the trunk.

Your car has HK, right? Do you still need to cut through the dashboard for the new speaker enclosure to fit?

Hey! Yea I have HK, and yea you still need to cut the dash for fitment.
And correct gonna wire it all from the quad lock connector.

Excited to get this little guy in!

Nothing looks to be a biggie. But we know how that goes

When you turn the car on the unit powers up and it goes on with the ignition. When I power the car off it powers down and the unit falls.

If I'm sitting in the parking lot and keep the car off and just hit the volume knob and turn the stereo on it stays lowered but the speakers work. So more like standard HK setup.

How sound quality has changed after installing this speaker? Is it better? Have you also noticed any improvement on sound stage perception?

Thanks for the write up! Can you further explain what do you need to cut on the dash? And do you have leather dash?

I know it's not worse, It takes some hrs for speakers to break in and I'm no audiophile but I'd bet that a lot of R&D went into the design on B&O side of things and I'm sure it has an effect overall, bouncing off the windshield angle and the tweeter design firing at you vs up, once I code the idrive to B&O theirs some options that will possibly take advantage of the design even more have no idea.

Just wanted to let you all know theirs a cheap quality looking alternative to having the active center speaker without having to spend thousands and have to retrofit anything.

I wasn't expecting anything and not sure how to quantify such a change but it still sounds great and if anything the voices seem a little clearer than before if that makes sense.

All I know is I love having it and it looks great!

Sure when you remove the tweeter and mid driver their are two holes where they used to be and you must open them up, you must open it up to accept the full unit so instead of two circles you need to make a square / rectangle and theirs 4 holes in the top where this unit plugs into and rests.

Mines not a leather dash but you only need to trim the plastic bit of the ip. It's a fairly simple trim.

Thanks! Now I know what you mean, to trim the speaker mounts from "previous" speaker to drop the B&O unit in.
