Android Unit Installed

I think I would love this! Can you run any android app? I use Whatsapp a lot for work and having that on there would be amazing!

I assume you can use "OK Google" without hitting the button when you are in the android side? I use that a LOT when I travel (hold the speech button till it launches) and I'd hate to lose that - but when I rent a Android Auto car and connect - I can do it hands free. I use it for reminders and notes all the time.

Thanks for the info - I don't mind the $ at all, but I don;t want to go backwards on the BMW side to add it - this sounds like you keep all BMW and gain the android!

Hey SupersixM is this the plug you damaged? Me too. The replacement part number is: 61-13-8-364-662 and is only about $3-4 dollars.

Google Play store>>>Download Nova Launcher.. That’s what I use.

If you want go on YouTube and watch a couple Nova Launcher Videos.

The beautiful thing about it is you can google search any image and download right to the unit. I google searched ...road night wallpaper.......and found this but there's thousands more ...feel free.....this one blends right into the ambient lighting ..exactly the same color.

Only if I was nice with photoshop, I would make it blue for the blue ambient lighting...heck ,I would do em all lol

How is the speed and responsiveness with multiple apps open? The one in my E70 would get slow and laggy. Looking to order one of these asap. Bored. Bought a new TV, switched the wheels up, fixed the leaky air suspension... need another toy.

It's pretty smooth. The thing is why would you wanna keep a lot of apps running on anything. Even though I use probably 4-5 apps I close out as much as I can when I'm done. Plus the newer ones have larger memory so that helps.. We have to keep in mind. The OEM one sucks ass, but even though it's a complete upgrade over the original.. it has it's petty glitches, like the clock and GPS lag.. Definitely worth the money. I just use WAZE, YouTube, Google Maps, Hulu, Amazon Music.

Waze with Spotify is when i would experience lag on the unit in my E70, GPS via Waze has lag or that runs well?

Slight lag. GPS is like it’s following you not leading you. I use it mainly for speed traps and cops and what not. Driving moderately , it keeps up but go crazy and it’s like 3 seconds behind you.

Nah lol..it gives you time. But I'm using a GPS splitter. Might be different with packaged GPS receiver.

No. WiFi automatically connects. Check your hotspot.
