Also be aware that the newer clusters had different Rom chips where you can't lower the milage and the one you buy should be less miles than your current vehicle. |

Guys, I had the 6wb installed today on my 2017 x5. I previously had 6WA. My coder remotely coded the cluster and it carried all info over. Now, the problem I have is HUD does not work. My car has hud and 6wb has the hud plug which I plugged in. HUD doesn't not show up anymore, and when I go to idrive setting the adjustments do not respond either. Anyone know what I can do? TIA

No it doesn't at all. When I go into I drive display settings for HUD, it doesn't respond to what I'm adjusting. The coder said he couldn't see option to code HUD. I'm thinking it's not compatible to f15 even though it has hud

Ouch, I hope you got the cluster form e-bay and can return/get your money back, this sucks.

Not sure if this was answered previously and based on opasha's guide it seems like the answer is no - but is it necessary to disconnect the battery when swapping clusters?

Random question, but I purchased a (used) cluster and it is missing the metal mounting clips. Can these be xfered from my old cluster to the new one easily?

It seems that after I installed the 6WB that pushing the shift knob to the left no longer activates Sport mode as it used to previously when I had the 6WA installed. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to code this back in?

Not sure which knob on the left you are referring to, modes are switched by the buttons next to the shifter between Sport-Comfort-Eco (and Sport+ if coded).

Again, moving the gearshift lever over to the left is the STEPTRONIC transmission feature/function/option which is explained in the owners manual (which can be found using the embedded manual in iDrive, too).
