Install Catless Downpipe Easy DIY?

Local shops in WA either refuse to put catless dp on due to emission rules or want to charge me 10hour labor.
Is DP DIY easy? ( I have ISTA software also)
Appreciate any input and suggestions

I've never done it in our platform but you could easily assess difficulty level or process from cats removal procedure spelled out in newtis.info.

https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/f...tic-converter/

Doesn't look bad compared to E92 (3 series with N54 engine). Did it on jack stands, on my back right in my 2-car garage. Definitely doable at home if you're an avid DIY'er. Looks like a weekend project.

Have you tried Strictly Independent in Kirkland, WA?

They did a lot of work on my old E46 M3 to include welding mods and bushing work. I bet you they'd do downpipes.

It’s not an easy install. You have to lay on top of the engine. Most shops charge around 600-1000 to install around me

Thanks for the info. Probably need little bit courage to start the work.

That's sucks. Maybe a shop will do it if they are in a no emissions test county.

Then again, you could wait until 2020 when there is no more emissions testing in WA!
