My Tire Repair Kit Recommendation

I thought it might be prudent to supplement the BMW Mobility Kit in my X3M with a plug kit. Along with a multitool or at least a pair of pliers to remove a nail or other penetrating object, a plug provides an alternative to using the sealant included with the Kit and might save those of us without spare tires or RFTs from a tow.

After doing a lot of research, I went with the Nealey Mini Tire Repair Kit. It's simple, inexpensive, takes up little space, and makes what is described as a permanent repair, plugging the tire from the inside out. It's made and sold in the U.S.A. by a small business. Additionally, Matt Nealey, the company owner, was very responsive when I had a question, returning my call promptly and politely. He clearly wants his customers to be happy with his product and service.

Highly recommended.

Cool stuff. I just watched his video on YouTube. I personally carry a full-size spare in my trunk. But on my work vehicles, I carry a bottle of Fix a Flat from the effectiveness proven in the video below.

Functionally the same, albeit in a bit smaller package, as the $4 kits sold at WalMart, as best I can tell.

Thanks for sharing it, I guess I need to have my own repair kit since my tires have been busted back to back and I don't know why.

When its dark, none of these are of any good without a flashlight or equivalent source. I know I was there.

Now we have a flashlight in our pockets via the cellphone camera's flash

FWIW they were still available up to e9x at least; I have the BMW glovebox flashlight in my e92.
