I stressed out the battery disconnection just to be on the safe side.
I had issues where customer doing installation and accidentally open the trunk or door where it wakes up the car.
Unless you do know what you are doing, I suggest strongly to disconnect the battery.

Installed the RaceChip Ultimate to ItaliaM3 F85 X5M on Friday.
It is super easy, he roughly timed me at 30 minutes from start to finish.

Also installed H&R 5/15 spacers, Autotecknic Gloss Black fender trim, and IND painted reflector.

That GTS looks good. I do have a question. Is the MPG and mileage gain on the same tune or do you have to use a mode for performance and a mode for efficiency?

I believe it was using different mode.
I can't give you exact answer since in LA, it is pointless to save gas.
Traffic and local taxes are much more than what a gallon of gas worth.

Some of my customers said they do see the MPG gain.
Most don't care since the main purpose was to give more power.
So, to find solid proof on all they claims, it is very hard.
It is all depending on your daily commute condition, climate, your car condition, etc.

I was wondering if you all remove the RaceChip completely when taking the car in for maintenance or simply put in the dummy plug (I still have a few months of warranty left)?

That would depends on how good is your relation with the dealer and how picky they are.
In my case, for maintenance service, I left it on.

The one on the sensor or on the harness?
If the sensor, then you'll need to get a new sensor.
If it the harness, just replace the connector.

It's the one on the harness. I can't find it's replacement anywhere though.. that may be one of those dealer only things? Also, do I need a special tool for removing the wires to replace it?

I appreciate the offer but it's the connector on the cars harness. The dealer showed me a replacement connector and it doesn't even have the white lock piece anymore. I guess it was only there to be a pain in the ass anyway.

Ahh, yea the new connector have extra locking, which doesn't matter much.
