OK, you can turn this off and on and decide what to show in the iDrive menu. That is why your can be different between users. Just go in and select what you want to see. On HUD models it is under that menu, which is why I asked.

I apologize if this is a repeat question but I got up to page 14 and realized there's nearly 50 pages total =/ So I've coded pretty much what everyone else has. I had seen on youtube a guy code but via cable or what ever its called (still new to this world) and he adjusted the interior led lights. this guy made his own colors, Like violet, etc, ect. Is there any way or other method thats easy, that can achieve this? 2nd question - I activated video in motion via usb. got that to work tonight but how large of a usb will it accept? can I use a 128gb or is that to big for the system to handle? I had a music video playing while testing out the navi and it def started to lag. I'm guessing if I load it up with more files it'll prob get worse.

Uh-oh...so I tried my very first code which was to display the digital speedometer. When I hit "Code" & got an error so now for "Instrument Cluster" it reads "Coding data faulty" in red right below the name. When I try to restore I get "Restoring failed. The data could not be restored." No none of the gauges on my display work...speed & RPM stay at zero & I get all sorts of errors like pedestrian warning. I have the Android app & I've read that I may need Bimmerlink, iOS only, to clear these codes?

You should buy the bimmerlink app and clear the codes.

Search bro. You don't have to read every page but search will barrow it down to items covered many times.

In G-series vehicles, app added functions if you have certain adapters. Not sure if they were added to F015. It would be in BDC.

2. On the HU Display. Can it show the blind spot triangle when it lights up?

Thanks!

I believe it only works on MY17' and below.

I have a 2018 with iDrive 6 and I can't add the colors

I've never even heard of this option - if it is one, I would like it too, but after all the coding threads I have read - I suspect it is not.

It doesn't sound like a safe thing to code either. IMO, the reason the light is on the mirror is to get you to still check mirrors. Tech isn't infallible.

I've always hated how faint the triangle is. I'm my old SUV the light was brighter and I could see it in my peripheral vision easily. This one I have to look directly at to see it. Better than nothing, but having it in the HUD as well would be something I would try.

Used the search and found this thread. Give it a try and provide feedback on Ambient light thread.

Expert mode and use the cheat sheet. But $10 says it won't work. BMW did a firmware about 2 years back that eliminates this ability.

You have to figure out the pattern, but look at the colors and you can figure it out.

Yup.....liking the purple right now. Green not so much and the yellow looks much better than I thought!

2015 with iDrive 4 I believe, so the newer updates might not affect me.
