Paint is highly subjective... but that thing would look awesome if you painted everything mineral white. I think that's the original paint color? But it would look good in just about any metallic.
For the love of all that is holy though... don't do a "frost" paint color. Damn Porsche for their black wheels and flat paint color trends. But again, paint is highly subjective. Go with what you like, even if it doesn't please all of us watchers. I'm enjoying watching your work. |

You need a colour that would reflect and make those new wider arches pop. Check out like the m2/m3 widebody. The way the headlights sit more sunken in and make those widebody lines really stand out. Maybe try a quick wrap job. Test out some colours. |

looks great. That stance is how these should've came from the factory. To be honest tho, that's a lot of $$ being pumped into a 35i that you'll never recover.

I'm not sure how I feel about those lines. I think it's because they are broken up too much, and they don't follow the correct body lines IMO.
What about instead of following the mid line, they instead follow the upper line that is more slanted (with the door handles)? Maybe just below that body line? That gives it that slanted, sporty feel vs the mid line that is just horizontal with the ground. I'll try to upload a pic. I think graphics should follow your sport lines, and not lines that are parallel with the ground or bottom of the vehicle. I personally am not a big fan of graphics. I love livery and graphics on race cars, but I like clean street cars. I just find them distracting and often are done in ways that make the vehicle look like it's driven by a 16yr old. BUT, if done correctly they can look great. nobody ever modifies a vehicle expecting to recover the cost

Something like this. Can either do the red line above the bidy line, or green line below the body line. Could also make them start from your fender vent. I feel this would give more of a sporty feel that would match the widebody thing going on.

I'd take a look at how the M livery has been done over the years and apply that to you X5.

I always thought the colors were representing BMW performance, not that it was a M.
Am I wrong ? When you get the bmw tune, don't they badge your car with them? Engine bay? |

you running spacers? stance looks pretty flush for having OEM wheels. And I also agree on the M-sport livery. That would be cool if you could recreate it cleanly for your X5

Yes, running 50mm front and 60mm rear spacers.
I pull wheels and torque them every 1000 miles or so. (Just to be safe) Still deciding wheels again. I want to go dark bronze… 22". 11 wide front and 13 rear. Have to say…. The two weeks I have had graphics on… I have had about 300% increase in people stoping to compliment, take pics and vid's and traffic thumbs ups… |
