AC blend door actuator

Does anyone know which blend door actuator controls heat to the dash vents? I have on that is intermittently not allowing hot air through the driver’s side center vent and left side vent. The floor is coming through warm as is the defrost. It’s only the mid-level dash vents that are sometimes blowing cold. I’m hoping it’s one that is accessible without removing the entire dash 🤞

Can you get a hand on them individually to feel if they are moving?

Maybe, if I take everything apart. The problem is sometimes it works, so if it’s working I won’t be able to tell.

Turns out it may be the blend door itself getting stiff, although I’d think that would be a more permanent not working state. So far when this happens if I turn it all off and on again it works.

Apparently several have had this issue corrected by either having the dealer or using ISTA to recalibrate the blend door actuators. May give that a shot before I start tearing into it.

I suspect ISTA can be used to troubleshoot the problem. Perhaps, this is your best path.
