Seems like it is rubbing to some suspension parts.
What size of tires are you running and wheel size?

Wheels seems to be ok.
Could be the ride height and alignment.

My guess is camber has not been adjusted given being lowered this much.

A tire with toe wear will typically be worn on the inside shoulder of the tire. That is, it will have a smooth strip of wear around it on the side that is facing the wheel well.

Install camber kit may help the camber aligment.

All X5's and most BMW's run alittle negative camber which will cause more wear on the inside edge of the tires. Lowering the car will only exaggerate this.

Both of my F15 and F85 X5's showed more signs of inner tire wear even on stock height compared to the outer edge.
