how to turn X5 radio totally off?

Is there a way to totally turn off the radio? I don't listen to it and get really tired of the station and songs flashing in the upper right corner of the screen. My wife listens to the radio in her X5 and when I drive that hers I can turn off all the screens but still have those annoying flashing data points in the upper right also. Both are F15s, a 17 and an 18.

Thanks in advance

Switch to aux port and it won't show anything.

Pushing the VOL knob inward doesn't turn the radio off? I honestly don't know. The few times I have, I know the sound goes away...but since it's never been my intent to totally turn it off...I'm not sure if that takes care of the other issue you raised of the flashing data points.

You can also turn the center display off in SETTINGS. If you need any details...there's a digital version of the owners manual embedded in iDrive which you can do a keyword search to see if there's instructions on how to turn the radio off, too.

Garage List
If anything above does not work, you can always use black tape to cover it.

You should be looking at the road when driving, not that small corner showing the radio info 😆

I wish black tape could prevent the radio staying on when I turn the car off.

Take your foot off the break pedal and push ignition button again, it will shut down your audio system.
