I spend a couple of hours on coding today, and did not manage to get it working!. I think we are missing a cafd, I'm not an expert in coding but I have tried almost everything.
I also have icam2 showing without any cafd file attached.
What is your psdz version?

I have no idea. I don't use Bummercode App. If you need to flash ICAM though, you will need E-Sys and PSdZData Full.

Very kind. Thank you.

Curious, what are the ramifications of using an older psdzdata. Is it simply not possible to code, or does it allow flashing and subsequently can create a mess?

Just tried getting CAF for SWE for icam2 again in ESYS and the error it puts up is
"failed to get CAFs for SWE "swf1_00001ee1-016_000_005" [c111]" and then a KIS error.
This is way passed my very limited knowledge of coding, I'm going to have a go at flashing the Icam2 ecu (never done before any advice on how to do this would be appreciated), I just need the full PSDZ data.

Shawn could you help me with latest full PSDZ as the old link is no longer working, I'm using ESYS 3.27.1

Many Thanks in advance.

To code any ECU, you need PSdZData version >= ECU version. If PSdZData is older, you won't even be able to read the ECU.

For flashing, if you flash with older PSdZData than ECU, then you will downgrade the ECU firmware.

My car is a 2016 X5 40d and none of the ecu's have been updated at the dealers as it has been non main dealer serviced, so should be as it rolled off the production line.

Thank you, I can see from your post history you are a total guru on this.

One of your posts even saved my bacon when I messed up the DME's by coding the whole car while running to enable Traffic Jam Assistant as per Quidzel instructions. They really should make it clear not to perform complete coding while car is running!

I'm curious now in what it takes to flash the car to the latest and greatest i-step. Would love some advice or even a link if this has already been addressed previously. Are such updates even universal between countries?

shawnsheridan, sorry to trouble you again. I would like to code 8TH, aka the speed limit info. Can you kindly point me to a guide. I understand I may also need to purchase an FSC code, unless that is outdated info and no longer necessary.

Hi Shawnsheridan,

I want to flash my ECU, and want to check if I have the latest PSdZData version = ECU version.

Do you have a shareable PSdZData?

No, not technically, but determining which few firmware files are needed and separating them out would be quite tedious.

If you are out of space on your local hard drive, you should leave local psdzdata folder empty and put psdzdata folder extracted from PSdZData Full archive on an external drive, and then use Windows MKLINK command to create a Windows Symbolic Link, for example from C:\ESysData\psdzdata to E:\psdzdata.

That would be a perfect solution.

Will give feedback when done :-)

I hate it when the car automatically adjusts/steps down the heated/cooled seats from the high to medium setting after 5 or so minutes. Is there a way to code that off?

Yes this is possible.

I coded it into mine and it works fine based off the info above.
