No, nothing in there. All the noises are creaking and rattling hard plastic type noises.

I get what sounds like the old engine knock sound when accelerating uphill in normal setting on the 40e. I'm not lugging it (shouldn't it downshift) but more mid-throttle acceleration from a steady 35mph or so. X accelerates, but the sound is so pre-knock sensor era cars it's odd.

Unfortunately this did not solve the problem. Tried it with car running, then power on only. Tried rear window switch and drivers switch for rear window.

Sorry that didn't work.
I haven't tried it on anything newer than the early 2000's.
Was worth a shot.

I appreciate the help. Will just have to let the dealer sort it out. Minor annoyance right now.

Would be nice to know if the solution doesn't require being plugged into the computer.

Update, dealer worked on it and almost all of the noises are now gone. Time will tell if it stays this way but I am much happier now.

Experiencing rattling from dashboard,
Took it to dealer but "no issue found" as always...
Before it was green but after performing engine oil level, it turned to red....
Tool it to dealer, performed engine oil change at 7,000 miles...

Great Car

I'm a shame they got the steering wrong....BMW management should fire every member on this team. They screwed up a perfectly great SAV.

No Time displayed

Has anyone had this as an issue before;

In the winter I always set my Auxiliary Heating to on before I leave home.
Got in the car this morning and it was cold. I thought maybe I had forgotten to set it the night before so I checked the settings display in iDrive and there was no time selected....my clock has no time..my sat nav said I was not going to arrive at my destination and the trip display had zeroed out!

I went into settings and time/date on the menu and ticked the auto UTC box.
Everything then re-set itself for the correct GMT +1 time...VERY ODD

This has happened to me too.

I would guess from the vehicle sitting overnight the heater core turns cold and just blows out cold air since the vehicle is not running.

I would say if the vehicle set just for a couple of hours there would still be some thought of heat left in the heater core. But for sitting overnight I would think not.

I agree the steering feel is somewhat numb in the F15.

But with the DHP fitted to the F15 in sport mode really does do a good job of making you feel more connected to vehicle.

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT is on
Car settings in iDrive says all systems are OK, however.

Thanks for the advice. I'll maybe get an OBD II scanner. Or maybe I'll take it in to the dealership ASAP but they'll probably ask around $100 for labor

Car had first service after 22 months and only fault is the rear hatch motor has given up and now only opens by hand. New part ordered and to be fitted but it takes a day as the car has to be updated when it is replaced (I didn't even bother asking why!).

PS: Started working today, but AD said bring in and they'll change motor anyway - 21 Dec.

At 700 miles my driver's side seatbelt assembly decided to jam and wouldn't pull out of side pillar. Dealer ordered a new kit and replaced it. Other than that, all good for the first 2,000!

I'm getting a creaking noise every time I turn the car on. HVAC vent moving internal to the dash I guess. I'll let the dealer worry about it at the first oil change.

2. MOOD LIGHTING

For a while, the mood lights that go around the cabin and the rear seats changed colors on its own (not while driving); I realized this every time I started the car. One day, it's red. The other day, blue. It has stopped doing that for a while, however.

3. LED LIGHTS

ONE instance where the LED ring lights (?) didn't turn on when unlocking the vehicle with the key fob. A little bit of driving around fixed (?) the problem.

4. WIND NOISE

Please let me know if this is a common problem among F15 owners, but while driving at freeway speeds (65mph +), I hear wind noise coming from the door seal. This is not normal, correct?

** CURRENT STATUS OF CAR **

Nearly 8,000 miles. Considering that many of the aforementioned issues have not occurred for a while, I wonder if they commonly happened when one breaks in the car.

Hi, did you get the WIND NOISE sortet, I have a2016 car and it still does it!!! so clearly no manufacturing desing fix taken by bmw yet
