Bigger wheels on x5
Hello guys, I'm new to the forum. I tried doing a search but couldn't find what I needed. I am purchasing a 2015 BMW X5 with an M package, it currently has 19" wheels on it (see photo)I believe it has 255s all around. Is it possible to put a staggered set up on this car with 20" wheels (see silver x5)? I liked that setup much better and was under the impression that all M packages come with staggered set up.
Thank you |

Sure, sure... but all the 20” wheels are being bought by one single person in the for sale section. You might be out of luck!

Are those replicas good quality? Are they forged? I want 375M 22"s. Also, which staggered set up is best for driving ability. Front 10 or 11? Rear11, 11.5, 12? Does going wider provide better traction or control?

To answer your third question- I think wider will typically give you more grip, however, wider tires are more susceptible to hydroplaning. I'm running 285's (10") in the front and 325's (11.5") in the rear. Finding wide tires is a pain in the ass.

Here are your options, https://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...M+21%94+thread I’m a little biased, my vote is a set of BMW OEM 375 M Style wheels. |

X5 Wheels on an X6
Always loved the 20" y-spoke wheels on an X5 and decided to put them on my X6. (Bought them off a guy who painted them gold, but that is another story). Bought some hub Centric adapters for the 72.56 to 74.1 different hub. Not sure if I need spacers as well. Going to run a 275 in the front and a 315 in the back. Wonder if anyone else has tried this and has any words of advice. Thanks.

I myself have 19"s on my x6, those are 623m style I believe. Like the look of the rear wheel btw, but fronts are ugly
I really wanna go up in size, but not really liking the idea of 315 tires in the back, It's a bit too much for all the 35i X5s and X6s, IMO. Was reading on this forum somebody mentioned that in order to fit a square setup 10 F and 10 R you'd need spacers or longer bolts and that the car will look funny with such an offset. PS I'd still buy staggered 469Ms if found a great deal on black whees in NY area lol |

There are many threads on the forum with great info regarding wheel setup, P1et started a good one here: https://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...ghlight=wheels if 21" staggered is your choice. I personally will be installing the 375's for the summer, while keeping my 467's for winter. Good luck! |
