Damn these are pretty damn fast the 0-1000m time of 22.6 is only.7 slower than what BMW quoted for the M5 at 21.9!

Why do they use the M-DCT shifter on a std 8 speed auto box? Misleading...

The HP is also a major let down... Minimum should have been the 575 offered on the M5 competition package.
3% increase over predecessor?? Someone stop the presses...

Interior and Exterior look good but not great to me.

$10K jump in base price is significant to say the least.
It does have the same 575 metric horsepower (575PS) offered on the M5 competition package.

And the comparison data between the F85 and F70 are wrong.
It's 575PS vs 555PS or 567hp vs 547hp, not 567hp vs 555hp.

No DCT is a bummer. Looks better without the license plate bar. Interior looks great!

Not a huge fan of the new design, the front looks too outlandish and lack simple and clean lines, maybe i need to see it in person, but these photos are just a so so. The interior does seems decent, at least better than the the exterior. I think I will stick with my e70 X5M for now, not too impressed with the new gen.

Altho I am interested in this non run-flat Michelin Pilot Sport UHP in 21 inches, currently in the size given, this tire doesn't exist yet. I wonder if this is a new line of tires that's coming out. Would give more options for the current gen X5/6 owners.

For what it's worth, the E92 335is and the E89 Z4 35is both had DCT transmissions, but they used the 8-speed auto shifter instead.
And the two-pedal 135i from '11 onwards as well if I'm not mistaken.

Personally, I would take a Cayenne. Whether a 958 model or a 958.2 refresh. This thing looks pieced together. It just seems like BMW's designers have lost their way. Yes, this is impressive, but it still does not look significantly different than the regular X5. The front bumper has sharp angles more reminiscent of a Japanese manufacturer and it seems that the only way that they could think of distinguishing the M models was with funky seats. But I still bet this will sell like gangbusters, especially with the cost of WTIC.

You mean: It is not 575PS vs 555PS or 567hp vs 547hp, it is 575PS vs 563PS or 567hp vs 555hp?

Did anyone notice that the X5M in the pic actually comes with 20 inch wheels/tires(not even the PSS)? How come the press release said 21 inch for both X5M/X6M?

"Both models are fitted standard with low-weight non-runflat 21-inch forged wheels (front: 10 J x 21, rear: 11.5 J x 21) shod with Michelin Pilot Super Sport UHP tires (front: 285/35 R21 Y, rear: 325/30 R21 Y)."

Wait a second... if these make roughly the same amount of hp as the current M5/M6 - how did they manage to fail on CO2 going from 231 to 258 g/km? @=
