Headlight Halos and Strip Not Working

Just curious if anyone else experienced this. I brought my X5 in for oil change and brakes. I'd also installed the invisihitch and there was some warning light on and the dealer "registered" the wiring harness or something like that to make the warning go away. Not sure if that has anything to do with it but thought I'd mention it.

Either way, I realized that the Rings and strip don't turn on now. Called the dealer, and it's going back in but they were a bit concerned because I don't have any warning lights. The rest of the headlights (Xenon) work fine. Anyone experienced this?

When the invisihitch was installed, I assume you had the BMW wiring installed. When the module is first plugged in, the vehicle recognizes the module which is what gave you the dash warning. To complete the install, the vehicle coding for the trailer hitch has to be completed.

It is possible that during coding, that something went haywire and all that will need to be done is reprogram. Also possible that something coincidently blew.

Has it been back yet? What did the dealer come up with?

Check for a fuse for the DRLs? It's possible a fuse popped when the hitch was installed.
