New front brakes

After complaining about the noise twice and waiting 4 weeks finally got the new brakes with rotors installed. Covered by dealer. Car still under warranty.

Hopefully no more crazy daily noise from this new set. Will update periodically.

You shouldn't have any brake noise after they are replaced.

Mine came due by miles driven (under maintenance plan - i have a 2015) a few months ago and it's been quiet ever since.

So this was covered by the factory warranty, not the maintenance plan correct?

Did you get pads only or rotors as well...?

I'm in for service now about the same issue and they said the pads are only in the update and not the rotors...

They said the fix was the pads only and that will fix the noise.

I hope so, cause I'll be back if there noisy still.

Same for me... 2017 with almost 19k miles. Dealer said the BMW approved fix only includes the pads, not rotors. My replacement pads have been on order for 2 months now... supposed to be in this Friday and installed early next week.

But I would be interested to know if you got brand new rotors covered, as well. Please let us know... Thanks!

I have warranty and maintenance plan too so not sure if the repair was covered by warranty or m.plan. I think BMW approved it after I called the office.

Before they got new brakes I advised that I don't want to have the same issue (noise) with new brakes and mentioned that with all my previous cars MB and Porsche when it was time to replace the brakes the rotors would be replaced too at the same time to prolong the life of new brakes, etc. Its a long shot but it worked for me and they replaced both. I inspected the rotors prior to change and they still looked fine without any visible issue.

Today it was a first time that I parked my car in the evening and my neighbors had no idea that I came home

Funny but I am so happy to finally have a normal car.

My advise - complain, complain, complain. They know about this issue and hopefully they finally started to address it.

Good luck. I will try to update this weekly. Fingers crossed.

I just went to a open house a few weeks ago, great guys... and I sell a specialized welding system so I've been there a few times helping them improve TIG welding exhaust systems with Stainless and Titanium.

I'm having to them do a exhaust in a few months...

Great guys for wraps and ceramic coating..

Fabspeed are great they are good people! I bought straight pipes from them when I owned a Cayenne S. How are the brakes treating you? If you want a great detail person. There is a great person in Staten Island if you interested!

As if today all is normal as it should. 120 miles all normal in dry and today all day crazy rain weather.

Maybe placebo but feels like new brakes have more bite.
