Truth be told... despite having owned several different colors of the F15/F85... Carbon Black is by far my favorite especially when paired with Aragon or Criollo. Best colorway around however the most difficult to maintain.

I always had only black cars but this CB color with that leather combo really works for me. You are correct its a biatch to keep swirls free but when properly washed it looks amazing.
Color depth changes depending on the light condition too.

Yes, I agree 100% on maintenance. I have an unlimited car wash subscription and I have to wash it every couple of days to keep it looking decent. Interior is Aragon and it compliments each other so well! A head turner for sure.

Are those the stock X5M rims or did you paint them? I'm debating on whether or not to powder coat mine black...

Those are BMW's 611M orbit grey winter setup (285/40/20 square).
Don't powder coat yours black. I have BSM and much prefer the contrast. Your pic above fishing looks great!

Nice pic, I used to live in UT years ago. Nice plate, I didn’t know they brought back the retro plates?

That black plate is off a 1968 chevy truck! You have to work the system to have a black plate.

It looks killer on the black paint.

Having owned both Carbon Black / Mugello and now Black Sapphire / Magello, the black looks better. There’s nothing wrong with Carbon Black, I love it, but when paired with black mods like grills, side gills, etc - the BSM just does it better.

I don't think BMW offered Jet Black on the F15 like it did on vehicles in the past but that would be the best match for gloss black bits and shadow line trim however I do agree that BSM blends better with the black bits especially for those with black wheels.
