Ambient lighting and HUD coding

I know there is a coding thread however there are no specific instructions to find the ambient lighting color change and HUD turn signals using Bimmercode in expert mode.

Can someone assist please?

Thank you

This was covered in the "Coding your X5 the easy way" thread

Here's my post that specifically explains the ambient lighting step by step using Bimmercode.

Thank you for the link!

People are saying that this no longer works with the new software is this true?

I just got my X5 last week and it has the latest iDrive

I haven't tried it as I haven't had an upgrade, but there was a Bimmercode app update that specifically mentioned users "whom have had their firmware updated by BMW" so maybe it works now ? - don't know.

It has nothing to do with iDrive. The updated software refers to ilevel, that is the software for all the different modules in the car.

Back up you current settings with bimmer code, then try and see if it works or not.

If you have the latest firmware it is true. You are stuck with the stock colors.

x5 x6 ambient light change colours by using bimmercode

If you dont have any idea to code using pc , you can actually use bimmercode from your mobile to code your bmw if you have ambient light option, basiacally you need to go BDC, then choose expert option to go submenu and find 3070 lcimaster, then you will see ambiente_farbe_ensemble.
then there will be 10 different layers and you can choose different colour in layer, and go back and code your bmw, job done now you have different colours as you desire.

I just followed exactly what you said using bimmercode on my 14 x5 and it was super easy. The color choices you can chose from are awesome . Don't know why they don't just enable them from the factory .

Yes I just turned off the auto up down dance the steering wheel does and changed around 5 colors for the ambient lighting . Able to close my trunk with one press if remote. Close open windows with remote . And a few more things if any help is needed let me know.

If I don't have anything closely resembling "GROUP_0_FARBE_ENSEMBLE_1" or "AMBIENTE_FARBE_ENSEMBLE_1_LAYER_1," what is my recourse?

Under BDC, using expert mode, neither 3070 or 3076 gives you the option to alter ensembles?
