Which F15 Windshield Sunshade do you use?
What are you F-15 Owners using for front window sunshade? I have been told that BMW does not make one and the the version for the E70 doesn't fit well. I am looking for one that folds up like the BMW one for the E70.
What are you using? Does it fit well? Would you buy it again?? |

I have Weathertech sunshades. They're not the cheapest, but they are pretty good.

This is the one I use. It fits so good you don't really have to us the visors
to hold it in place. https://www.heatshieldstore.com/vehicles

I've been using these in my vehicles for the last 10 years or something, they work extremely well. In addition have the windshield ceramic tinted 90% (so it's only 10% darkened, 90% clear) which seems to have REALLY cut down on the heat. |

True, and it fits the F15 almost perfect...
Could have had some more cover around the rear view mirror base, but otherwise great. OEM version is made by Covercraft from what I know. So if one doesn't want it with the BMW logo, just order the E70 version from Covercraft. |

OEM here, also. It just works, well! Nice case, too.

So I ended up trying the Cover Craft shade - I liked the way it folds accordion style, but I was not satisfied with the fit. I returned it and bought the Weather Tech shade, which in my opinion fit much better around the mirror and does not require use of the visors to hold it in place - but I am not crazy about having to roll it up.

I use the Heathshield one mentioned in posts above, but I also have them for the side windows. The side ones use suction cups to stick to the inside of the windows. Takes a bit more time to put them in the windows and remove them on a daily basis, but they do help keep the car cooler and protect the interior from sunlight. If you know your car is going to sit in the sun all day, I think it's worth taking the time. Just don't forget to remove them the day before if you think it might be raining when you get in the car to go to work the next morning. This morning I had to go around the car and open each door and remove each shade in the rain.

The OE shade for the F15 fits whether you have the DAP option or not. Over 7 years later mine continues to serve me well.

+1 for the Covercraft sunshade. They are custom cut for your vehicle and are a perfect fit. I've used them for my last 4 vehicles and they're fantastic.

I'll throw my 2 cents into the ring about my trials and tribulations with the OEM F15 one... https://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1940649
TLDR: I bought the F15 one from ECS Tuning, had to cut it up to get it to fit around the mirror without massive manipulation. It took days to get my mirror back into the perfect spot |

Anyone try the G05 version? Some websites say it will fit the F85... and the picture appears to potentially indicate it might.
