Adaptive Suspension Replacement Options

2014 BMW X5 M50d with adaptive dampers and air suspension on rear. Front shocks have gone soft and need replacing. OEM pricing appears 10x to aftermarket eg. bilstein B6. What options are there going from active to passive. Only 50k miles / 80k kilometres … don’t want to be up for $4k+ for OEM this often.

no option - unless you want to try your luck on ebay units. i did it and learned a hard lesson. One rear unit sent a fault code and the front drivers side didn't have the proper threading at the strut mount. I went OEM - mine were still in great shape but since I got a new motor through the Isley Settlement, I wanted to refresh other components.

dont think you can go to a stock passive setup but maybe others will chime in here - GL
