Code BDC Body. Change from med to long press.

If Nov 2018 or newer software, USB activation does not work. But, for earlier software, no coding needed, flash drive does it all.

Is there a way to code the steering wheel heater icon onto the 6wb dash on a 2014 X5? I’ve looked through the site but I’m not sure how to do it. If at all possible. I’m tired of having to look over to see if the light is on

I'm wondering if there is any way to change specific settings between the drive options. For example, is it possible to modify via coding the steering 'tightness' in eco mode or comfort?

is this a variable that can be modified?

Thanks!

Try BDC_Body: LHZ_CCM

Nope. It works for G05, individual settings.

Do you have FSC codes or emulator for those functions?

Hi, new to BMW but previously coded a lot of Audi’s.

I noticed after I had my 2015 X5 in for the MPPK that bmw updated the BDC_BODY and changed the ability to code the ambient lighting colors.

I just figured out how to code a few colors in the updated version and can post the coding if anyone has interest? The colors I’ve figured out so far are the dynamic blue (darker), lilac, and the mint green color.

Hi Shawn!

I'm in exactly the same situation.

There must have been a recent software update and the e-sys + pzdata versions you sent me 2 years ago no longer "sync" with my wife's F15 X5.

Auto Start Stop is driving me crazy!!!!!!

Could you please PM the links for the newer software I need?

Many thanks!

Eric

Here is my coding for ambient lighting color changes on the updated BDC_BODY ECU.

So, for some reason I can only get the channel to show up in Bimmercode and not in Esys, I have tried searching for the exact channels in Esys but they do not pull anything up, but here is the path:

BDC_BODY->Expert Mode->3076 DG_3076
This will pull up all of the ensemble groups and layers just like the previous versions but now each layer is split into an R, G & B channel. As a reminder, only 1-9 Ensemble groups are used in the F15 and only layers 1-3 (1-door contour line, 2-armrest area, 3-footwell).

To change the color of a layer each layer you have to set the RBG color parameters in Hexadecimal, which could potentially lead to infinite color options, as you could choose any RGB combo and convert the numbers to hexadecimal.

For instance, if you wanted a Red color you would just make the R channel FE (255) and leave the other channels at 00. Here is one website where you can choose your RGB color, https://www.w3schools.com/colors/colors_rgb.asp then take those RGB Values to this site http://hextodecimal.com/index.php and find the corresponding Hex number and just plug that hex in for the werte value for each corresponding R G B channel in bimmercode.

Here are the Wertes for the three colors I've figured out that match the previously pre-selectable ones:

MINT (Gruen):
R: 10
G: FE
B: 32

DYNAMIC BLUE (Blau):
R: 00
G: 42
B: FE

LILAC (Flieder):
R: 78
G: 3C
B: FE

Voila! Now it's not a curse to have the updated BDC_BODY but a blessing because we are no longer limited to pre-selected colors and can create whatever color you'd want!

USA X5 F15 chassis Taillights to EU conversion

HI!
Anyone else who brought X5, F15 chassis from US to Europe.
I replaced taillights to EU versions. All other functions are perfect, but when I hit brake pedal: 2 Amber lights comes on SOLID yellow, and no red brake lights at all.
I understood that BDC needs to be reprogmmed. I have a coder here in Spain who can do that, but he needs a help wich parameters to change. Also in EU versions there is a different wire harness from BDC to taillights. DOES anyone has PIN # and which A258 module needs to rewire?
#I AM IN TROUBLE WITH MY X5.#
Thanks Forum!

I've coded to have the level of seat heating memorized when shutting off the vehicle but didn't see anything for memorizing the steering wheel heat being left on and then retaining that setting. Is this possible to code too, and if so what module?

Thank you.

______
For heated steering wheel retrofit, besides VO Coding 248 and BDC_Body, KOMBI and NBT_HU, is there any other module to be coded? (F15 2014 with ilevel 18-11-520)

Enhanced Bluetooth (6NS) Email access and REMINDER_TRIGGERS_EIN_AUS (related?)

I previously added 6NS to my F15 2015 35d but have never been successful in getting my email to work. I have text messaging from my iPhone working. I've seen a few posts about this in the past and have confirmed the following:

EMAIL_EIN_AUS
SMS_EIN_AUS
CONTACTS_EIN_AUS
CALENDAR_EIN_AUS
TEXT_NOTES_EIN_AUS
AUDIO_NOTES_EIN_AUS
REMINDER_EIN_AUS
TASK_EIN_AUS
PIM_BILDER_EIN_AUS
REMINDER_TRIGGERS_EIN_AUS
MACRO_PIM

all WITH THE EXCEPTION of "REMINDER_TRIGGERS_EIN_AUS" are set to atkiv. The problem is, I cannot find "REMINDER_TRIGGERS)_EIN_AUS" in Bimmercode. And I have seen a couple of posts of others that have encountered this very issue.

Does anyone have any idea how to resolve this?

Thank you!!

iPhone?

If so, probably out of luck.i can’t get mine to work with iPhone except for text. Spoke to a genius this week and he said that app,e has blocked the functionality with recent IOS releases. He said apple has informed them they want CarPlay to be the standard used and all other options are not supported
