grill removal

Sorry if this has already been touched on. How does one remove the front grills?

Go look in the F15/F16 forums. It has been discussed a few times.

Just tried the above method on an F15 - it worked but don't plan on keeping the original. Nearly every clip broke, no damage to the bumper - I imagine it's by design.

It’s a very painful process and your fingers will hurt and knuckles will bleed. Take your time so you can save your stock grills. Took me around 2 hours to finish my install

If you not plan to resell the OEM grill. you can cut them and pull them out. If not. take some time remove the Intake box, that will give you more space to work on and should pop out very easy. they just hold by clips! It takes me less than 30 mins from start to finish.

Wear gloves when doing this otherwise you'll need a few drinks at the bloody knuckles pub located curbside once you're done. Attempted this on the F15 and then decided removing the entire bumper on the F85 and black-backing the hardware behind the grills was a better method if you have the time and energy. It will avoid breaking tabs, bending trim pieces or forcing the installation.
