Very interested, but I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to determining what parts I would need to buy to complete this steering wheel on my 2015 X5 35D (image below of what I have). Could you provide any insight?

You will need; steering wheel, air bag, paddle shifters and controls for each side.
That should be it, if not I’m sure someone will chime in.

Also 3,4,5 and 9...
#7 control buttons are discontinued so you'd have to find them off another person.

Ah. That seems like quite a bit of work hunting down those parts.

Me currently: F15 M-Sport wheel with heat, vibration, paddles, and all those friggin buttons & dials.
However, the leather is looking ratty in spots. I suspect previous owner's lotion-laden hands.
Can you advise if this would be a direct replacement and, if so, is it a DIY job? I reckon monkeying with airbags is no joke.

It appears to have the same options as you do, so it should be a direct swap and upgrade. (///M stitching)

It is most definitely a DIY, it takes about 30 min to 1 hour.

Wow, thanks. Going to take another look at mine as soon as I get a chance. I'm wondering if my peer part to #4 above will still work. Pretty sure it's a solid piece (without the middle opening).
It appears the listing doesn't include the trimmings.

AFAIK, those center trims are interchangeable. If you go for it, you can use the true M one or the M Sport one.

Would this fit a 340i? Would those parts swap over?
