Another cracked windscreen

Hi all,

First post here, new Alpine White F85 owner.

We had the North Pole come visit a few days ago, and after turning on the defrost mode a sharp tap was heard, followed by another. I looked up, thinking something had fallen from above, but was instead met with two long cracks in the windsćreen.

A new BMW oem piece is being installed tomorrow, followed by a re-cal of the various systems.

Unfortunately, the roads are covered in snow, and that precludes a recalibration of the ADAS systems...(sigh).

I guess the camera actually needs to ‘see’ the lines on the road...who knew?

The camera indeed needs to see the lines. You can tell when the lane tracking is active and the camera is "seeing" the lines there are two small triangles on your dash.
