2018 F15 X5 xdrive 35i MPG: is 22-23 mpg normal? 60-70 mph

I recently bought a used 2018 BMW X5 xdrive35i. MPG around 22-23mpg at speed around 60-70mph on highway and interstate. Is this normal? It feels a lot more than my 2017 BMW 340i.

Thanks.

something must be wrong with your 340 then. I would think the 340i should get at least 30 mpg at highway cruising.

22-23 for the x5 is about normal if you track it just for the highway time.

If you drive aggressively that seems right.

Sorry. I was not clear. By "a lot more" I mean the X5 consumes a lot more gas than 340i. Yeah. My 340i usually is around 30mpg when at 60-70mph. Thanks.

Garage List
After two recent road trips in my 17 35i, I got about 20-21 mpg cruising at 80-90 so this checks out.

That’s sounds right , don’t forget your x5 is lugging around over 1000 more pounds then your 340i.
