Mud flaps. I hate those words. They sound terrible but never the less I was wondering if anyone ever got a chance to speak to that anthony guy who has a YouTube channel where he makes carbon mud guards (!) for m3s?!? Anyway - there has to be a company or a guy that can make some nice flat rounded edge mud guards for our cars that are discreet looking and functional (like the image below).

Now before everyone gets all high and mighty about mud flaps and f15 bumpy mud flaps and how they fit our car ble ble ble I know all of this. I don't want my M to look muffin top frumpy. So that factory joints are off the table.

Any one know anything?

Keep in touch and I hope everyone is good!

Thank you for mentioning this again. I am also interested in knowing more about any decent options for this.

If there are "mud guards" that line up flush to carbon fiber side skirts and the 3D Design style rear diffuser I'd be very interested.

Guys i am going to make some mud guards like these. I'll keep you posted on my progress. I got some thin but durable sheets of CF so let's see what I can come up with.

Yeah - definitely keep us in the loop. I’d love these.

What happened to the other thread where these flaps were discussed?

Man I don't know. They dropped the ball somewhere. Who knows. I'm waiting for the carbon sheets to be measured and cut to match perfectly. I just need to see how to mount them. Once I make one set and it looks good I'll make a few for you guys. I'm going for that image's profile.

Having just bought a 2018 X5M which has clearly suffered from road rash behind the front tyres, I would be keen on these also

I have paint matched a set of f15 M sport flaps , but still on the fence about installing. I have also purchased from Cf sheets to see if I can use the OEM ones as a template to cut a custom CF set. I'll let you know how that project goes. here are pics of the paint matched LBB M sport flaps

Your going to use self tapping screws to mount? Curious how that's going to mount up. There are images of these mud flaps mounted online and it's not my cup of tea. It's too bulky and makes the m look frumpy. No offense.

The use the existing hole where the OEM fender flares are secured or other existing bolts, with a little of mounting tap added in for a nice body fit. I don't mind the look on the rears, but front is what I am struggling with, which is where I need them the most due to rock and "sand blasting" effect or road debris. I am going to try some custom CF work up front since I also have side skirts that will prevent the OEM ones from fitting properly without trimming.

Nice man. Let me know what you work out. I tired hitting up that Tommy L garage guy on this forum but he's not getting DMs so I suppose making one of my one is going to have to do.

Been slammed with work but as soon as these CF sheets arrive I'll carve a template and see what looks best. I was checking the m3 guards in carbon and those might actually fit too just not sure how much coverage they will provide.

I have the templates cut out. Going to line everything up and see where holes need to be drilled. I'm working on it.

In for the flaps as well...my 2017 has suffered the rash and I just pushed my wheels out 15mm all the way around. Subtle but functional flaps would be a good idea.
