LBB Brake Calipers?

Anyone on here with LBB have their brake calipers color matched to the body paint? Or have any pictures of this?

I think someone is selling brake calipers here that are in that color.

My rig is in the shop and I'm having my calipers painted. I debated cobalt blue, purple, and lime green, among other colors. And I kept coming back to keeping things tasteful and stealth. So I'm going with LBB on my calipers. Just wanted to do a sanity check if anyone had it going on.

Brembo yellow will look nice also. It's a nice contrast.

Agreed I like the idea of contrast that lime green idea would look great!

Yellow and Green

Yeah, I love the lime green and yellow calipers. They look so cool on gray/silver/black cars. But they're louder than I wanted to go with LBB which is already loud enough. (I've already seen an LBB X5M with black wheels and yellow calipers, it was too much for me.)

The cobalt blue and purple are more subtle transition colors between LBB and black wheels. But it's tough to decide and I'd rather keep it tasteful than regret doing something goofy.

I kept coming back to matching the body color because I'm going for a "stealthier" look rather than trying to make things pop more. Then I saw a friend's car with body matching calipers and that made my decision.

I'm omitting the M decals on the calipers too, because there is already an M on every panel. I feel like having more Ms all over the vehicle is cheesy and trying too hard.

Just thought it would be cool to see pictures if anyone had them.

Isn't the existing blue on the calipers very similar to LBB? I'm not sure the slight color difference would be really noticeable.

He read my mind has to be damn close... I would either go big or go home on this one if attempting a change per say... there was a X6M that had yellowish or lime I thought it looked badass with LBB. Not sure if I can find the pics he had 22 inch Vossens if anyone maybe remembers... I also think if your running stock rims it also hides more of that flashy your worried about vs the Vossens pictured.

I would do you yellow but I would LOVE to see them done in LBB on an LBB, honestly on any color they would look good.

The blue is kind of close but still a contrast. Doesn't make any sense to me why they used the blue they used instead of more contrast like you're suggesting. The result is more of a clash to me...

The yellow calipers posted here look better than the ones I've seen on the one I saw that was listed for sale.

You're right about the wheels too, the stock 612s definitely hide more. And the rear caliper is almost non-existent because it's one of those crappy ones.

The thing is, a lot of people want to hype up their cars, and as much as I love the wild colors, I'm looking to downplay mine with classy/tasteful quieter upgrades that don't scream "hey look at how fast I am!" I'd rather my rig be appreciated by enthusiasts who have to look twice to really appreciate what I've done to it.

My body shop loved my lime green idea too, and I think it would look sick. But unless I change my mind for some reason, body color is how I'm gonna roll this time around...

If I ever get it out of the shop, I'll post a lot of pictures!

It's in paint now and still has a ways to go before it's ready for prime time.

You don’t always need a contrasting caliper color. LBB on a LBB x5 will look awesome.

Painting calipers fancy colors only makes sense if you upgrade the rear calipers IMO.

Yep. Like you, I bought the rear Panamera calipers. I bought M logos done in black, but I think the logos are too small for a caliper and will try to get the motorsport brembo version done. If not, the standard brembo logo in black.

What are those rear calipers, and where did you purchase them from. And did you have them color matched to the fronts? I've contemplated getting a set for my X5M. Any information that you could provide would be helpful.

Look up "tronik caliper" in eBay. If you dm me I'll send you his email direct. Solid guy. He does a lot of brake work in russia. I might go f95 caliper adapter for the m5 rotors up front. I'm feeling frisky.

Same guy as already pointed out. I asked for unfinished calipers and he knocked off some from the price. Kind of weird that the website price is more than the eBay price. One thing that was weird was he sent the brackets unfinished as well. Had to work out a partial refund and I had them hard anodized locally.

I kept my brackets unfinished. No one can really see them anyway. I've been asking him for some rotors with anodized hats for this truck like he does for the Mercedes but he hasn't answered me. That's probably why I'll go f95 just for the aesthetics.

Aluminum corrodes, especially I would imagine with road salt. Also, look up “duralumin” which is a 2000 series alloy that is more susceptible to corrosion. His reason was, “i wanted to get the kit to you as soon as possible.” Um...i prefer getting what was advertised in the kit.
