40e regenerative braking in Sport mode

Can Regen braking be disabled in Sport mode? I don't really enjoy that strong pull when my foot gets off the gas...

The 40e is a very small number of x5's on the market.

I have one and not much out their.

I'd love to find out how to remove and replace the batteries with larger range as that would be the best mod ever but yes no real market their LOL.

So not a lot of people tinkering with it.

Right now sport mode actually increases regen and eco pro reduces it as you coast more but anything is possible.

Not sure if someone can code it that way but good luck !

For the last tank of gas I've been driving only in Sport transmission so the EV aspect doesn't really matter. I want to enjoy the power from the combination of the gas engine and electric motor. Mileage sucks but I'm still getting 350ish miles per tank, which is not too bad compared to my previous 430GC that gave me around 15MPG only. LOL

I like the throttle response in Sport mode (quite different than Sport transimission alone IMO), but the regen pulling really annoys me...

Look at it as helping your braking distance lol ...

The 40e lacks turbo lag and that is why I liked it over the 35i the electric motor gives you the instant torque.

Now if throttle response is your main concern get a sprint booster so your always in sport mode and drive in eco and I think you'll have the same concept.

The ride won't be as rough either.

Mine was a 40e M sport with the optional 20" so it made a difference in mine maybe because of the big wheels.... not sure.

Since I work 6 miles from work i go months without needing gas whitch I love. But to each their own
