engine oil sweating not cover by warranty?

So i had an oil change by local motorsport company, they found oil sweating from valve cover.
I currently have BMW platinum plan until 2022 summer, which is suppose to be bumper to bumper. Took it in to local bmw store, they found the issue, But bmw platinum plan sent an inspector to check the issue and will not authorize the repair as it is not leaking dripping down the floor....

is this normal? i mean obviously it is starting to leak oil, and you want me to wait until a big leak?.. im no mechanic, so is this sweating normal ?

thanks

Wait a couple months then loosen valve cover bolts before heading back to dealer.

^What he said. Loosen 3 or 4 adjacent VC bolts, wait for oil drip to run down engine onto splash shield. Then, snug them back up and take it in to the dealer. Don't leave them loose.

Another dealer might be an option as well if you have another within a reasonable distance.

I understand I can take it to another dealer. However it is BMW service contract the warranty company that is denying this claim. Dealer was happy to change it if extended warranty approves it. First time I've been inspector coming down to dealership to approve repairs..

If it's a 3rd party warranty company then sometimes they will send an inspector. If it's a BMW warranty/CPO plan then they can go ahead and just do the repair

Bigger jobs they will send an inspector.

I've had them not come take a look for control arms and air bags.
They came and took a look for a possible 6WB cluster replacement as well as turbo coolant leak and transmission cooler line leak.

I am curious on the grounds they denyed it since I have the same warranty.

Its a costly repair with alot of labor, unfortunate.
