Recommendations for a power washer
Just got my X5 done with Opti-Coat Pro and Modesta for the rims. Looks fantastic -- how long it will look fantastic, especially with winter coming, I don't know.
Had a question about power washers for my regular cleanings. What do you guys recommend? For ease of use, I'd like to get electric and be able to use the Chemical Guys' foam cannon. Is there a minimum PSI I should be looking at, especially with the foam cannon? (There's been conflicting user comments/reviews online about this point.) I won't be doing much else with this other than cleaning the cars, so I'm not needing a particularly rugged power washer. I don't really have a budget but also not interested in spending $800 if $89 will do. Most of the electrics I've been looking at seem to be in the $125-$299 range. Thanks in advance, and here's are a couple of pictures when I picked it up yesterday after the Opti-Coat Pro and Modesta applications:

An 1800-2000 psi electric power washer should be good enough. Invest in a longer hose so you can comfortably walk around the vehicle with the wand. And you would need a wand that has a quick disconnect to use with the foam cannon. As far as brand i would just google electric power washer and read the reviews.

Hey, i might be a minority here, but the only advice i can give you about power washers, is too keep your car away from them as far as you can. Use them on your house, porch, deck etc, but never on a car.

artem123 its safe as long as you keep it a decent distance from the paint. I soak the car and i usially keep the wand about 2 feet away from the paint. Then i attach the foam cannon and llather the truck up. Let it loosen the dirt then use the 2 bucket method. Rinse again and then dry the truck using microfiber towels and a detail spray as i dry.
