New Owner - Hello from Wisconsin

Hey everyone,

I just bought a "new to me" 2014 X5 xdrive35i last week. Actually bought it from Carvana and it was delivered to my door in 4 business days. Crazy how car buying has changed recently.

https://www.carvana.com/vehicle/2022247

I was presently surprised when it arrived, as the car is in fantastic shape, and even had some welcome upgrades under the hood that I didn't expect.

I have been trying to do some digging on the forums to see if I can find the original owner of the car, as this person was clearly and enthusiast. Anyone have any history of this car? Per CARFAX, it is a 1 owner from Texas.

Here are some pics the day it arrived:

Well there is a good chance that previous owner switched to the different brand or the new generation and doesn't monitor this forum anymore. Doesn't ring a bell from build threads I've seen here.

Very nice looking X5. I'm right next door in Minnesota and could be the next new owner tonight. How are you liking the vehicle so far?

Good find with all the M Performance Parts, those are expensive if buying them new. I wonder where the aluminum pedal went for the brake pedal?

Welcome, and enjoy!

Liking the vehicle enough to keep it. This is my first non-sporty car in 20 years, so it is going to take getting used to. Also my first non-manual transmission car ever!

Yeah I wondered if there should be an aluminum pedal for the brake. I am fine without though, since aluminum pedals gets slippery when wet, and I would rather my foot not slip off the brake pedal.

I do think I was pretty lucky finding an example with all of these M Performance goodies plus the Dinan tune. I just bought some coilovers for it too, so that will be really nice. The stock suspension is way too soft.

The M Sport brake pedal has rubber stripes, so not slippery.

This X5 is a prime candidate for X5M knee pads considering most of the 'wood' (it's not wood, it's crappy wood colored stickers, I know from experience when removing all mine) has been replaced with the M Performance CF interior trim. Only the center console section remains. It's too bad they didn't make mocha knee pads (mocha was not an X5M color) but some guys like classic_erik did black and it looked good.

Silvers Coilovers installed about a month ago. Here are some pics:

My personalized Road America license plates showed up too, but I haven't taken any pictures on the X5 yet.
