Charge pipe upgrade with bootmod3
Hi guys, rookie tuner here.
I just purchased my bm3 tune and as I was gathering some knowledge about the tune I see people recommending a charge pipe upgrade to deal with the increased boost pressure. I see this across the board for all other BMW engines but couldn't find any info for X5M F85 S63. I plan on running map 1 with 93 octane for now. Probably a map 2 after a downpipe upgrade down the road. I'm just curious about a pipe change upgrade as I cannot find info on that or any parts made for our engines. I drive a 2018 X5M. Much appreciated. |

Intercoolers on f85 are different that f10/12. There is not much room between the end of the IC and the turbo inlets. No charge pipe required or available.

As I already stated, there is literally no need to upgrade the charge pipes. The upper IC housing runs litterally to the discharge of the turbo.
