Does X5M Trunk Have comfort access?
Hello,
Just picked up traded up from 16 X3 M Sport to 16 X5 M couple of days ago... Does anyone know if comfort access using the foot to open trunk is available? I tried it several times and felt rather silly when nothing happened. :-) |

Nope. X6 M does, but not the X5 M.

Took my X6M back to the dealer, all literature and handbook stated car with comfort access have boot opening by using foot operation.
5 hours later dealer informed me due to a rather hot Exahust the X6M does not have this function. |

Hmm that's odd. I checked over the specification guides for the X5M/X6M, both the May and August documents.
Literally the only difference was that the August build onward cars have this feature (boot opening via foot under the bumper) on the X6M.

I can confirm that my x6m trunk opens when I put my foot under the rear bumper as well. However, I don't really use this feature much because honestly I forget I have it lol. But it's nice to have.

Mine still not working.
Dealer insists this is not fitted on the X6M. Doesn't bother me would just be nice to clear this up. My car is a 2015 right hand drive UK registered F86 X6M |

It was only added to August built cars onward.
