So he just bought the m3/m4 wheel and swapped it? Plus a little coding i guess? If it works i dont see the difference in size being too big of an issue, considering its not much smaller

Honestly I don't see much difference in size, smaller one is even better for me
Coding and wiring I think
Those guys who make this upgrade don't want to tell all the things to me, well it is their business

Coding and wiring should not be hard.
I have done other BMW cars before. Just need to know where and which to connect to.

I'll probably have to wait until someone does this so we can get more info in regards to coding. I'm assuming the wiring wouldn't be to difficult to do as it's probably the same as the other cars. But what coding do you assume would be needed and would it be difficult to accomplish the coding on our own if I don't know of a shop in Toronto to get it done? I've also heard of it being able to be installed in E series chassis with an adapter. But wondered do they have options for cars in manual as well?

Yes it's been done. Saw a guy a month or so back do it. Sure a search would reveal it.

Looking for some help. Had my X5M for 6 mths. Changed from M3 F80 and transfers over the LED race display. Size is not an issue and fits ok and happy with it. Issue being wheel lights up at start up and then goes off cannot get the race display to stay on and function.
Had it at dealer and they say they cannot help so looking for advice on any coding or what I need to make it work?

Yes will share if I get any information. I was hoping that someone in here had some based on the previous photo’s of the wheel fitted and working.

Any updates on this? Really want to get the steering wheel but it seems people cant get the display function to work yet?
So what we know atm is we should be using the f8x e-wheel but only one person in the world has gotten it to function properly?

Unfortunately no updates. Wheel is fitted and has power as lights up initially when installed. Nothing since. Seems to be a Canbus issue. Still looking for advice and will share if I get any. It's now taken over my life to get this wheel to function!

I presume me the X5 M Performance wheel with red trim would be a direct swop with no complications?

Are you attempting to retrofit the display sw on your X5/6? Don't see what the issue is here...
