New member here... I purchased a 32 GB USB for this update. Realize the USB has 28.8 gb of usable space. Am I out of luck or is there a way I can fit this download on there? Its roughly 100MB off!!

The file for 2020-2 I found here worked out to 31.2GB unzipped or something like that. Short a few hundred MB on a 32Gb stick formatted in FAT. YMMV

You should be able to split it by folder. Try excluding folder 4, and starting the installation. It should prompt for the next volume, at which time you can remove folders 1 through 3, put 4 on the usb, and then resume.

OK, so I downloaded both parts 1&2
Put them in the right hierarchy in a usb FAT32 drive, and tried to update.
It tells me the installed version is newer, never asks for a key (FCS ?)
Maps are not up-to-date
What am I missing?

Yeah you have the 2021-1 version and you are trying to replace it with 2020-1.
