Congrats man. Really looks good. I'm starting to look into wheels now to be ready come spring time. Not sure if I want 22" or 21" though. If I go 21" I'm totally stealing your specs as looks great.

What are you going to use to lower the ride? Will lowering it throw the current look off at all?

I didn’t want to compromise ride which was my original goal. So I read all the reviews and the VTF and a few other spring options weren’t for me. So I’m trying Dinan, if for some reason that isn’t low enough, then I’ll do KW V3. As for the wheels I’m assuming I may possibly need a 5mm spacers to make it perfectly flush, but I’m going to see how it lands currently. I think the look might be pretty spot on considering I calculated it to raise .5” with thicker tires, and lower .75” from Dinan. That combination added up is usually what I preferred when I saw other modified X5Ms lowered 1.25-1.5”. We’ll see sounded right in theory, let’s see how it is in the flesh haha.

And please steal the specs I did this for myself and the community haha! As for 22” I do love the wheel size on the X5M, but I felt 21” had the perfect balance, also wanted to upsize my tires and have plenty of tire options.

I know I'm coming in here late. Just wondering why the stock 21" tire sizes were not considered ? If they were, then why were they not used.

Front: 285/35 R21 105V
Rear: 325/30 R21 108V

I currently have stock 612's and I was hoping to just buy some 21" wheels and reuse the current tires.

Your setup looks amazing 👍🏽

Thanks man! I actually did this to get more tire profile. To protect the wheels and to help with the ride comfort. I loved they setup I had, but I recently changed to 295/35/21 square on the same wheels and I’m so much happier. As I don’t need run flats and I get to use Continental DWS 06+. Stock sizes are good, but they don’t have much tire profile. Considering I’m slightly lowered I didn’t want to lose too much ride, as my wife daily’s this SUV.

Thanks for your input. I think I'll try my current tires first and adjust when I need to get new tires.

Where did you get your bc forge wheels from ?

Sorry for the late reply, been off the forums for some time! I made a few changes, I now run the same wheels with 295/35/21 square Continental DWS06+ tires. Some of my favorite daily tires and great tread life. Anyway, I also made some cosmetic changes, but here are some quick snaps. Hoping to do an actual photoshoot, and post it on the forums soon!

*The black X5M is running VTF. They look great, but just a little too stiff since my wife uses this SUV daily. But it’s also not horrible as I read on forums, but my buddy did use the Dinan bump stop kit as well which I’m sure helped. I’m still very happy with my Dinan choice, it’s subtle yet noticeable!

Haha, funny, I finally got to the end of the thread, wrote down the specs juts to find out you running a square setup now lol
What’s the purpose of square setup? Can’t rotate anyway right, since rim width is different.
How does it look from the back - always liked that stance where you can see rear tires fatter than front. Or because of offset it is still about the same look as staggered?
What happened to Coffee color rims? Black now lol
