Aftermarket Wheel Recommendations
Interested in aftermarket wheel and/or vendor recommendations.
Thinking about purchasing a set of aftermarket wheels, either 20" for a winter set or 21" for a summer set (would switch my OE wheels to winter use). Not looking for 22" with the local rounds. A few styles I like, mainly split 5-spoke. VS Forged VS02, VS08. BC Forged RZ21, KL01/11, HCS02 Ferrada FR8 Vorsteiner V-FF 101 Prefer forged, hubcentric, no spacers. I've seen others I like from MV Forged, Rohana, OZ, Enkei, etc., but it didn't look like they had F85 sizes/offsets. So many choices. I'm sure there are other options I'm not aware of. Velos, BBS, HRE have styles I like but not looking to spend $1500/wheel, especially for a winter set. Thanks in advance. |

Very interested in this thread as well, though my next set will probably be used year round. I am looking hard at the BC Forged HCA381 or HCA162. Those are both split spoke design as that is what I prefer too.

I have Rohana's (22') with perfect offsets for the F85. They sit very flush with no rubbing at the lowest adjustment on the KWV3's. Affordable 'flow formed' wheel. Looks more like a monobloc forged wheel IMHO.

Big thumbs up for BC Forged: very reasonably priced wheels for the quality, with good, prompt service and delivery.
I used to deal with HRE, but their prices and a very bad experience with quality control several years ago made me look elsewhere. I use my RS41s (not 5 spoke, I know) as summers, and BMW OEM winters. Be aware that the OEM 20" wheels as delivered with summer tires will not work for properly sized winter tires as they are too wide on the back. Our roads here are terrible and I would not consider 21's for that reason. |

I feel like bolts/exposed hardware on 2 or 3 piece wheels are polarizing. I personally like them but feel as though a lot of people specifically dislike them. Thoughts on that?

One other wheel option I don't think was mentioned...Vossen. They have some flow formed wheels that look very good imo. |

I've been happy with my Signature wheels for about 3 years now. Still get thumbs up from other drivers (when they're not covered in brake dust at least, lol)

Good eye. Gun metal finish with blue hardware. staggered set up that I run with all season tires all year round. The road and traffic conditions in my area don't necessarily require the rotation of winter to summer tires. Entire set up was under 5k, which is where I like to stay when shopping for aftermarket wheels.

Do you just swap out tires or do you have summer wheels as well? I'm on Savinis as well actually, but wrapped in all-seasons.
