Rolls Royce startup on X5 2014 (F15)

While coding my X5 original startup logo I found a few there so I tried one of them. Rolls Royce one was pretty cool. I switched myin from original to M logo. I have a 2014 X5 xLine.

I have Rolls Royce chime set (instead of annoying original X5 one). Sounds a bit like old Windows 7 sounds. Much less obtrusive and annoying. Did it back in 2017 via carly obd-II.

Yeah it's pretty great but I feel like the colors are a little sketchy but looks great. I changed my ambient lighting color to red and set the M logo. They go great together. I'm using Bimmercode and Veepeak OBDii.

Do you know by any chance if our cars can be coded to have that rear stop lights blinking fast when we hit the brakes from higher speeds? It's kinda cool and alerts rear drivers. I tried to code it via Carly, but I wasn't successful. Not even sure it can be done without extra hardware.

My X5 didn't have that feature active but I used the Bimmercode app to activate it. It did have a option to keep it inactive as well. I didn't get the time to check if it's working but it was in the app for sure.

Myin aren't as bright as they look. I think it's the camera which made them look insanely bright.

This is a better view of how bright they are:

This is my fav color out of all:

Blinking "emergency brake lights" can be coded via bimmercode, but won't blink with "standard/ normal" braking.

The threads title has nothing to do with the matters discussed afterwards... There is a coding thread for all of this, you know...

Sure, let's keep creating hundreds of 10 post threads to make search easier. There is ambient lights thread here packed with pictures and coding thread with lots of helpful information here, but who cares, right?

The coding is definitely in the Bimmercode app (and apparently Carly, too)...I’m not sure if it works but there are multiple selections that need to be made. It needs to be activated (3 or 5 blinks)...then there is a selection for multiple speeds at which the car must be moving for it to be activated...then there is also a selection for how much braking force is required to activate it as well.

So for those that have coded this feature on but you’re not sure if it works...it may be due to some of your other coding selections like not driving fast enough...and not braking hard enough.

Just a thought.

And another coding issue some may run into with the BRAKE FORCE “flashing” is...depending on your build date and communication bus modules...you may need to go to more than one module to code the flashing.

I believe if you only have the FRM (footwell module)...all the coding is done in that one module. But latter build models that have the FEM (front electronics module) and REM (rear electronics module)...you need to do coding in BOTH of those modules in order to initiate the flashing brake force lights.

Below is an example when using Bimmercode...if you have the FEM & REM...you have to code TWO modules to initiate this feature:

I actually tried the rolls sounds at first and they were a little better. I ended up using the i8 sounds after all because they're really low key and not bothersome.

LOL, my small son finds it quite funny to change the welcome screen.
But.... some people also like to glue blue-blue-red onto their front grille.
