Steering wheel retrofit

Has anyone upgraded their steering wheel from the base or sport versions to the MSport version? Biggest question would be going from the non-paddle to a 'flappy' paddle set-up. Tischer has given me a parts list...but wondering if anyone has done this yet...

I'm hoping to give my wife a meaty wheel on her F15 for her bday ;-)

This has been done on the E70 so I don't see why it couldn't be done on the F15.
Searching the forums here and the bimmerfest forums will get your some results.

It should be do-able. Haven't done it yet, but it has been done on F30/F32/F10.
If there is someone in SoCal that is looking to do this, let me know, I would love to help in doing the project.

I'll be doing this project soon! I think ebay has the best prices right now for it. I'm still waiting a bit so that they drop .

Check out the F30 boards. It's also been done there. I think if going to base to sport you are ok from an airbag module perspective but going from either of those to an M Sport wheel you also have to get a different air bag module. I also think you have to code to get the paddles to work.

It's actually a new airbag either way. Gonna cost about 2k in the end. Maybe I'll just order all the parts and give it a whirl...have a coding person that may be able to help as well...
