Winter wheel/tires for '14X5 5.0 M-sport

Just curious what people are running for a winter wheel/tire setup... Tirerack claims they have nothing that will work on a 5.0 because of bigger bakes??? I'm a little confused by this because it seems to me the same wheel options are shared across all x5 drivetrain options. I'd like a 19-20" set with run-flats. Any guidance would be appreciated!

Hi U55, I had the same questions until I did some research. Here are some options.....

http://www.pirelli.com/tire/us/en/ca...rsionId=437693

http://toyotires.com/tire/pattern/ob...r-tires?cat=12

I ordered the toyo tires for my 20" 451 wheels, I'll update when winter comes around.

I was told the same thing by a few people about the brakes. However after going to my local place and testing the same rims that worked on the prior model works on the f15 or at lest seamed to.

Decided to put continental DWS on oem wheels. Worked well.

How did the DWS work over the jersey winter?

Very well, even being so wide. As good as winter tires in snow? Of course not but good enough when urban roads get plowed quickly. Then you're left with a decent tire in the dry vs the winters are mush on an inconsistent warm nj winter day.

The stock 19's on the X5 are 255/55/19. Those are the same size tires that I have for my winter setup for the wife's x5. It may be difficult to find 20" winters but I have read people have them

I'll be using the stock 19's (467m). Fairly easy to find run flat snows that size. I don't see why they would have an issue with the wheels, as the 50i comes with the same 19's as the 35i lines do. Only difference I've seen is the no line has different 18's on the 50 vs 35, but presumably still same size. So I call BS on the brake issue...
