Torque and the 40e
Coming from an F11 525d (3.0l) and when replacing it for a F15 40e, I felt like I had made the wrong choice. The lack of torque really annoyed me. (I selected the hybrid mainly because of tax reasons)
But then... after ECU remapping, I'm happy again Impressed how different the car feels... new numbers are 403bhp and 656Nm of torque |

Figures are 100% real. Measured on a Dynostar. (@BR Performance) BTW, I also did a 0-100km/h test (with an app on my mobile - Speed logic Lite) (you can discuss how correct the figures are, but anyhow this is what I measured) |

This is a game changer since I have been eyeing the 40e due to HOV access, will subscribe to this thread.

I had a look into this a little while ago and it looks like the BR-Tuning gets 60hp-ish more than some of the other companies that offer the same/similar remapping. |

If we know exactly the type of the transmission, we can look it up. But referring to Wikipedia, the type is a 8-speed ZF 8HP automatic. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_X5_(F15) en when digging deeper, it is specifying the model/type to "8HP75 (2nd Generation)" which can handle up to 750Nm. (If this information is correct?) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZF_8HP_transmission |

The transmission is not the 8HP but the 8P 70 or 75 (hybrid).
