Another wheel Thread
So I want to upgrade my wheels and give my X5 50i a more aggressive look. I'm trying to shop for off the rack wheels so I don't have to pay $10,000 for a set. The problem that I'm finding is that very few companies make a 20" by 10" and 11" width with the proper 40 and 35 offset. I would like to stick with the stock size to retain ride quality and with H&R springs I think I'll still be ok if I'm not losing tire sidewall.
So the question is, What are my fellow X5 drivers running for aftermarket wheels and in what sizes? I don't think I want to go with a 20x9 and 20 x 10 because, in my mind, the tire sidewalls will roll too much but if I do then it would open up more wheel options. And, If I did then what tire sizes and wheel offsets do I purchase? Help! |

22x11 Not as soft as the 20s I had but if you're putting on just HR springs you're in for a lot of bounce anyway lol Look up wheelzonesd on eBay that company sells a lot of wheels that fit the X5 if you're ok with reps that's where I went to. |

Everything that I have seen says 20x10 40 offset - Front and 20x11 35 offset - rear I could be 100% wrong.... Any wheel people out there want to chime in? I just want to know what other people are running on their X5's if they have changed to aftermarket wheels and if anyone is having the same issues that I'm having with availability. |

Rear wheel offset is 37.
I did this search for countless hours a couple months ago... 20" aftermarket forged or rotary forged wheels with OEM or slightly more aggressive offsets that will fit stock size Contis. The options are extremely scarce, not only because of the limited width/offsets that fit the X5, but also the 74 hub bore. It seems 22" options are plentiful, but 20" are rare. If you want to go the custom route, you can talk to Jimmy Signature Wheel BMW for great prices on custom spec forged rims... definitely NOT anywhere near $10K and outstanding quality (I have Signatures on my M4). An "off the rack" option I considered was Rohana RF2 which I'm pretty sure come in a 20" and 74 bore with offsets that are very close to stock. In the end, BMW warrantied my 469M for corrosion and gave me 4 brand new wheels, so I opted to just keep them and save myself a few grand.... mod money which will certainly be spent elsewhere. |

Something to consider!
OEM wheels ET (offset) won't be flush with the body, so people run spacers to make wheels flush. If you are ordering non OEM wheels, you can go with lower ET#'s, and possibly not need spacers. My non flared F15 50i, came with OEM 9x19 ET48 wheels and I ended up using 15mm spacers up front and 30mm spacers at the rear with those wheels. (Spacers from RG_Sport) So the spacers created an actual ET33 up front and ET18 for the rear wheels. |

So I pulled the trigger.... 20x10 with 30 offset front and 20x11 with 25 offset rear.
Should be here in about 14 days.... Wish me luck! LoL Now on to the exhaust, tuner and carbon bits! |

Quick check and I believe they will stick out about 1/2" if no flares. I could be wrong though, let us know.. |

Yes, 50i with M sport package, I'll keep you posted. Its only 10mm difference and not running spacers so it should look a little more aggressive without sticking out beyond the flares. I was on the fence until I saw a post from RGsportshop where he put 15mm spacers on the front and 20mm spacers rear on an F15. It looked great and was flush, IMO, so I'm hoping I'll be safe with 10mm extra offset. I'll post pics when I get them mounted. I've been stockpiling parts for about a month now so I plan on making all the changes at the same time. Black kidney's, gunmetal wheels, lowering springs, K&N filters, front splitter, and side vents. Now if I could only find a deal on a good sport muffler and race chip then I'd be done! |

Zito ZS15's... The only company that gave me the option for custom offset of my choice and would sell me wheels in the width that I requested...... Without breaking the bank.

I was just shopping for wheels for a 100th time and was thinking about this OZ set from tirerack, then I just googled these wheels fitted on a car and what confuses me is the offsets. Is that really 40 and 35mm pictured?

I think you should debadge your car though, it's all black apart from those hideous badges on the side and no doubt the rear. It's also such a shame that the American law means you have to have those god awful arch reflectors too. Once complete, you'll be very stealth like
