July production moved to Sept?
Hi guys,
So here is my story. I wanted something diesel (i like the diesel sound) so i choose between Touareg R-line and X5 F15 M-sport. I`m not a Mercedes fan. Audi q7 looks the same since it came out so that was a no no from the start. I placed the order on May 7th with delivery at the end of July. 35D M sport, mineral white on ivory/black dakota, aluminum trim. 20`` rims. premium package etc. One month later i get a call from the SA just to get informed that there is a delay at the factory and the July production it was rescheduled for September. And this is happening in all North America. Is this true? Anybody else in this situation? |

Yup - I'm in exactly the same boat - only my order was placed in April and was supposed to be scheduled for June production. Sounds like we're both getting the same story. Possibly from the same dealership.

Your dealer is full of it.
I placed my order for a 2014 X5D (with 20" wheels) on 6/13. Production finished yesterday, it's loading for shipment today (hopefully). Your dealer is out of 2014 allocations and didn't want to tell you (is my best guess). And, yes, it will be a 2015, but you may need to renegotiate your deal; the lease rates for the 15's aren't out yet, the options lay out a little differently, and you'll probably need to indicate an intention to purchase again for a '15. AFAIK, 15's are scheduled for delivery starting sometime in September. Your dealer really screwed you on this one, IMHO. |

Ask for a copy of the Vehicle Inquiry Report. A production order #, indicates allocation other details include : production month, sold date, car specifics.
There is a thread on allocations. |

Dazza72 - i got mine from brian jessel.
The funny part is that one of my clients told me yesterday that his friend got a 35D M-sport right off the lot 2 days ago... I gonna call the SA today. I don`t care if is a 2014 or a 2015 production, it`s a freaking lease, 3 years later somebody else will drive it. Thanks for your answers guys. |

I know the prices are way lower in the US but my lease is close to $1400.
BMW X5 35D SP-BLD - Free maintenance ZXO- M-Sport 20`` rims mineral white on ivory/black dakota lthr ZXB - Premium package MET LEA-D 2PW 4MR 688 And whatever protection plans are out there. Oh yea, and i gotta pay $4000 upon delivery. (lease fee, air tax, advance disposal fee, documentation fee, freight and pdi etc etc fee fee + fee) Thats the configuration of mine. They offered me a $500 card that i can buy whatever i want from their shop. Does that sound like a fair deal? |

you just can't compare car deals within the US vs outside. If I could sell cars over there for what I pay here I would be D Trump.
May be a good deal for all I know. I believe the general rule of thumb is about double US prices, I know it is in the Middle East and parts of Europe. |

Maybe i`ll get LED fog lights as a standard on the 2015 model since in Canada for the 2014 we had to pay an extra $2500 and in the US was standard. I wish it was that easy to get a lease from the US but they treat you like c... when you come in for maintenance here in Canada. No courtesy car, when you ask them to look for something that you think is wrong with the car they tell you to book another appointment etc etc. My current E60 is an ex US vehicle. Anyway...i`ll get back to you guys tomorrow after i meet with the SA. I hope i`m not gonna lose my mind and just cancel everything when i hear their bla bla blas. |

Sorry man, that really does suck; you're in for a long wait.
You could pay someone to drive the car down to the US for service and still come out way ahead on the lease (seriously). The numbers you posted initially as WAY off the mark. If that were a US lease, you should be looking at saving several hundred (probably around 400/mo) on the least AND your entire down payment. 1,000-1,100/mo with 0 down is about right for the truck that you specified. That's a huge swing, if you could get a US lease for 1,000/mo, you'd save $16,000 over the course of the lease. I think you could find a very good mechanic to do your maintenance; take some trips to the US for maint, or, hire someone to go fight with your Canadian dealer for you! That's the thing man, I know, as others have said, you can't really compare prices between geos. But you can get to the other geo and drive home from there! And we're talking a tremendous difference in pricing! Quote:

As i was expecting, the SA started giving me all kind of bs excuses why all this is happening and that the 2015 production started. She pulled "my file" out and guess what? The lease was $100 more. I said no. I`m not gonna pay that because 2 months ago i signed the contract for less than that with the Appearance Plan, Rims and Tires and some other protection plan at the end of the lease included.
Now my lease was close to 1500 and all these things were not included.....just because the 2015 price is going up. I asked her to bring me an X5 M-sport ASAP otherwise they`ll have to deal with my lawyer for breach of contract . Guess what again?! They found a M-sport 35D white on black (not exactly what i wanted the first time. I was expecting mineral white on ivory/black), with more options and same lease as i had the first time which i`m gonna pick up tomorrow. So whoever is from Vancouver and is in the same situation as i was....just go in and ask for the car you wanted and do not let these bastards steal your money for some retarded reasons that they make up. I`ll post some pictures tomorrow. I`ll never buy another BMW from Brian Jessel dealer. Cheers |

Great outcome, really glad to hear it!
Your going to have your car before I have mine, and my dealer actually didn't screw up and lie about their allocations.. |

Thanks guys.
It wasn`t that easy. It was like going to a concert that you don`t like but you have to stay there for 2 hours and listen to that bs just because your gf/wife likes it. |

Got it today.....amazing car!
Takes about 9-10L/100km. My lease it`s even lower than the first time. Car has more options (premium/comfort seats and lighting package). If i`m building my car on their website right now it goes up to $81300 before tax. Mine was $81000 after tax with all extra protection plans. Sorry, i don`t know how to post pictures |
