Dyno this Friday - X5 35i Msport & MPPK

I've been curious about the MPPK so I scheduled a dyno this Friday.

I've had my X5 for nearly a month and have ~ 1,800 miles on the odometer.

I'll share the results once I get them.

Can't wait to see this! Just make sure you have it in sport+ mode and the transmission over to the left, AC turned off.

I was actually going to ask you guys along with aw305 if you wanted to do some sort of group dyno since we could get a good idea of how effective the power mods actually are.

You two have MPPK and Powerchip and can test on different settings

AW305 has powerchip alone and could give a baseline number after unplugging the chip

I have MPPK alone

Everything done on the same day and same dyno would give us the most accurate results, even though we're using 4 different cars

I am down for a dyno session. Most places i've seen usually goes for 100-150 for 3 pulls on the dyno. The key is to find a reputable place that has a AWD dyno machine and to see if they are willing to lower the price if we have a small group of cars going.

The place I'm going to charges $100 and does 3 pulls and is equipped for AWD.

When groups come they drop the price to $60 bucks.

Good place. Nice cars come there all the time for service and dyno.

I'm in the burbs about 50 miles outside of Chicago so I'm guessing that may factor into the pricing.

For the Chicago peeps that may be interested this place is called Komet Motorsports in St. Charles.

I've never dyno'd a car before. Do you know of any places?
I assume places like Enzo tuning are going to charge a hefty price, but if that's all that's around, I wouldn't mind.

I'd be interested to do it when spring comes and possibly get a racechip or dinan installed.

I thought about Enzo too. They supposedly offer a flash tune for the F series N55 now as well so I am curious to hear what they have to say about what each of our X5's are putting down. I don't mind paying alittle more for a legit place that has experience with dyno'ing BMW's and have other BMW dynos on file as a reference point. I had my 550 dyno'ed at Vinnyten racing but they are far and they won't give you a electronic copy of the dyno results for some strange reason. I went there twice and both times they gave me some lame excuse why they couldn't give me a file and was going to email it to me. Got nothing.

Yea. My thoughts exactly. I PM'd them and awaiting response.
I'll see if I can reach ACM also. They seem to offer a tune also

Before getting my X5, I really wanted to get their flash tune. The power numbers are what I feel is enough for me. The price is less than a MPPK and they dyno tune your car. Was too afraid of voided warranty though.

Interested to see what MPPK plus power chip puts out and what the power curve like.
