My eyes might be tired but is there a difference between the X5 & X6 front? It seems like they're exactly the same.

Yes indeed.

While tacky is spot on, it's definitely no good for the long-haul.

These are available at theretrofitsource.com for $100. I wonder if they are articulating or fixed? I can see two adjusters assuming for vertical and horizontal.

My friends in Germany have started ordering parts for me. As expected, let's just say the prices are pretty ridiculous and NOT in a good way.

The only pleasant surprise was the cost of the interior carbon fiber trim kit, which was less than I was expecting.

That's great? I can't imagine the exterior pieces costing so much? Can you share ballpark prices?

Around $140 for each side grille. $400 for each mirror. $100 for each front grille.

That's not bad? I was guessing higher. I'm sure the inside pieces are high no?

Compared to M3/M4 they're higher than I was expecting.

Interior pieces are less. Just waiting on pricing for those officially.

wdimagineer - Do you know whether the M Performance Air Breather side vents will be CF, black chrome, or simply plastic?

Mind sharing the ballpark for the CF shifter and center console? Also, how hard are these to retrofit?

Thanks!

PS. Do you happen to know whether BMW will be releasing a special M model of the rear seat cover? I have one from my F15, but it attaches to the front seats by wedging between front headrest bars. Given the shape of the M seats, I'm fairly certain the F15 version will not work. Hoping BMW releases an M specific version, otherwise I'm going to have to go custom. 3 siberian huskies leave A TON of fur, dirt, etc!

The side grilles are black shadowline plastic like the rest of the car. No CF.

I don't yet have pricing for the interior parts.

The shifter and center console should be quick retrofits. The shifter is held on by a small screw under the glass window.

The center console should be held in place by clips. The only difficult part is disconnecting the wiring harnesses for the iDrive controller and DDC buttons, then transferring them over to the new piece.

Thanks Wdimagineer for the update. Looking forward to taking chrome off as soon as I get mine but I have a funny feeling that's not happening. As far as interior parts I will do myself, I'm afraid the idiots at dealer will f--- that up and scratch things up.

Does anyone have BMW's official install guide for the front and side grills on a F85?

IND posted a DIY on the side grills but it calls for double sided 3m tape and refers to the official manufacture install proceduere as being more time consumin and invloved.

I’ve found a front grill replacement DIY on the F15 forum, Im assuming its the exact same for the F85.

MY delivery ETA is the week of June 22nd.

My car wrap guy can put the stuff on for me, I want to make sure they have proper direction.

Thanks in advance

How lucky are you guys with such prices ! Look at the price quote my BMW dealer gave me. These include fitting though.

Actualizer I did a bit better than that but not that much. All the parts totaled $2400 plus tax after discount. Pressure your dealer to do 5 or 10 over cost.

I hear you. I received my F85 a couple of hours back. My wife insists that the CF trim it comes with is decent enough and I should not spend a fortune on the full M Performance kit just because it has CF with Alcantera. I must admit that the Stock CF trim over the stitched leather over the silverstone over the black shiny panel looks very 3D and with beautiful texture.
So I really need urgent advice whether to cancel my interior M performance trims or not ...is it really worth it?
